A small editor with the parts that matter
Not a timeline with a thousand buttons. Slides, scenes, timing, sound and export — enough to finish a video, and nothing to learn first.
Animated slides
A slide is one frame of the video. Arrange text, pictures and shapes on it, give each piece an entrance, and the slide becomes the scene.
Device scenes
Upload a screen recording or a scrolling screenshot into a prepared device scene, and the app fits it to the screen with the right perspective.
Animation, timing and layers
Every block has its own entrance, loop and exit. Layers decide what covers what, so a title can sit over a picture without fighting it.
Music, voiceover and sound effects
Pick one of the two built-in ambient tracks or upload your own, add a voiceover, and place sound effects on the moment they belong to.
Brand profiles
Save a palette and a logo as a profile, then apply it to a new video so every clip looks like it came from the same place.
Export for social media
Export an MP4 at the size the platform wants — portrait for Reels and Shorts, landscape for YouTube and LinkedIn — with no watermark.

Start a project
Pick portrait for Reels, TikTok and Shorts, or landscape for YouTube and LinkedIn — or open one of the two sample videos. The frame decides the composition, so nothing is cropped later.

Build the slides
Add text, pictures, icons and device scenes. Put a screen recording inside a laptop, give each block an entrance, and set how long the slide holds.

Export the MP4
Play it once, export, and upload. The file is H.264 video with AAC audio at the frame size the feed expects — no watermark.

Windows 10 or Windows 11 on a PC with a keyboard and a mouse. 4 GB of RAM is the minimum; 8 GB or more is recommended if you work with screen recordings or several slides of video at once.
Does it work on a Mac, a phone or a tablet?
No. Visual Ideas is a Windows desktop application. It is built around a mouse, a keyboard and a local file system, and there is no web or mobile version.
Where are my projects stored?
On your PC, in a folder you choose. Save writes `project.json` and an `assets/` folder into it, and copies every upload into `assets/`, so the folder is the whole project — copy or move it and it opens on another computer with its media intact.
How do I back up a project?
File → Backup writes one `.vibackup` archive with your project folders, brand profiles, settings and recovery. You can set it to run on close, daily or weekly, and to keep the last few archives; it only writes when something changed.
