Install it from the Microsoft Store.
Visual Ideas is a Windows desktop app distributed through the Microsoft Store. That keeps the install, the updates and the licence in one place, and it means there is no separate account to create on this site.
How the install works

Open the Store listing
The button on this page opens the Visual Ideas listing in the Microsoft Store, either in the Store app or in your browser.

Press Get / Install
Windows downloads and installs the app with the Microsoft account already signed in on that PC. There is no separate installer and no serial number.

Launch it from the Start menu
Visual Ideas appears with your other apps. On first launch it opens on a start screen: New portrait or New landscape, two complete sample videos, Open and Continue.

Keep it updated
Updates arrive through the Store like any other application. Your projects stay where they are through an update.
What you need
- Windows 10 or Windows 11
- A keyboard and a mouse
- 4 GB of RAM minimum, 8 GB or more recommended for screen recordings
- No account and no internet connection needed to edit or export
The Store needs a connection to install the app and to buy export packs. Editing and exporting work offline.
If the Store will not install it
Check that Windows is up to date, that you are signed in to the Store, and that the PC meets the requirements above. If the listing opens but the button does nothing, sign out of the Store and back in, then try again.
